The Impellers are a 10-piece powerhouse funk and soul band, with an urban edge. The band bring a fantastic blend of pounding instrumental tracks with lyrically strong vocals.

The Impellers’ live experience is unique. A non-stop set of dance floor killers, which showcases the band's love of soul, deep funk, Latin, jazz and blues.  Think of a seamlessly segued DJ mix played by an amazing live band, featuring classic tracks all played back to back - no gaps, no talking, no tuning up - just a stream of pure grooves and the lush vocals of Clair Witcher.

The live set mixes The Impellers unique arrangements of instantly recognisable classic breaks and beats. No other band shifts so fluidly between James Brown, Jimi Hendix, The Ting Tings, The Kaiser Chiefs to Marva Whitney, while keeping guests, across all ages and music tastes moving on the dance floor or taping in their feat along.

The Impellers have performed around the UK and Europe. Appearing at venues such as KOKO in Camden, The Saint Paul Soul & Jazz Festival in France, The 100 Club in London. They have shared stages with some of the finest funk, soul, hip-hop, jazz and scratch DJ talent from around the world.  Their ever-expanding CV includes shows with Marva Whitney, Breakestra, James Taylor Quartet, The Bamboos, Lack of Afro, Kid Koala, Hexstatic, Mr Thing (The Scratch Perverts), DJ Bizznizz, DJ Vadim, Speedometer, Polar Bear, Part Time Heroes and The Nextmen.  They have shared stages with some of the finest funk, soul, hip-hop, jazz and scratch DJ talent from around the world.
