The band’s enthusiasm combined with their skilled musicianship ensure that their shows provide well-coordinated exciting sets of Soul, Funk and Disco. With the ability to incorporate jazz and latin grooves, some great solos, Katarina and the Secrets will always keep the dance floor full.
The band are all professional musicians who have played live and in the studio for a number of great musicians, corporate clients and with different productions including: Beyonce, Joss Stone, George Michael, Michael Ball, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sony, Universal, BBC, ITV, Xfactor (backing session vocalist), Joe Mcelderry, Channel 4, Emirates Productions, Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies, Galliano, James Taylor Quartet, Noel McCoy, Tom Jones, The Divine Comedy, Bonnie Fields (James Brown), Chiko Bangs (James Brown), Tony Coleman (BB King), Walter Wolf Washington, Marcus Malone and many more.
As a collective their performances have seen them playing across the UK and in Austria, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, France and the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival.
The lead singer Katarina Holmberg has sung live and recorded across the UK, Greece, Berlin, France, Caribbean, Cyprus, Ireland and Finland. Katarina career has included singing backing vocals for Michael Ball's 2009 Greatest Hits album and Andrew Lloyd Webber's single for his new musical Love Never Dies. From 2005 to 2009 Katarina worked for the ITV working on recording sessions for XFactor with artists including for Beyonce, Westlife, George Michael as well as for Britain’s Got Talent. Additionally Katarina has performed live on the BBC, The Discovery Channel, at the 606 Jazz club, at Silverstone Races, with Steve Mac (Rhythm Masters), Buena Vista and on The National German Television Awards. Katarina has also supported Incognito and Neneh Cherry.
